| Vietnam is a study in contrasts.
There is the lush green of the humid, rainy, monsoon season in the
Mekong river delta. Instant rainstorms and then mud up to your ankles and
beyond! Humidity sticking at 100% day and night. Mosquitos big enough to
shake hands with. Seemingly endless.
Almost without warning it would change
to the stifling hot, dry season with dust in everything. Still hot,
but at least a little cooler at night..........
Then there was the beauty of the sky at
dusk during the dry season, such as this photo suggests.
The rotor blades of the sleeping hueys
can be seen jutting up to the quiet sky almost in defience of the peaceful
evening beauty. They will be ready for the next day's noise of war.
